Infinity Island LLC is a company I launched amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It serves as a platform on which I aim to integrate my diverse skill set, promote fellow artists and engage in various creative projects. Similar to many small business starters, I've had to manage with limited resources. As a result, I've taken on multiple roles, including UI/UX design and copywriting.
This was my first venture in UI/UX design, and I eventually learned how to code and set up a website using cPanel from scratch. For this project, I opted for Wix due to its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Initially. I thought I could just apply my visual aesthetics skills gained from costume design and neglect the technical aspects. However, I soon realized that was a misconception. Despite Wix’s intuitive interface, to create a polished, effective, functional, and accessible website that provides a satisfying user experience, it is best to have an understanding of how the tools on Wix are corresponding to the core principles such as HTML, CSS and SEO.
The website has undergone significant revamps over the years, making efficient content management crucial to makeovers. Currently, the next goal is to make the website fully responsive.
Although I utilized a website builder for this project, I opted not to use a template. Templates tend to be time-consuming when it comes to making aesthetic changes. Since I was building a brand, I aimed for something original. This is where the understanding of coding languages like HTML and CSS proved valuable. This simple landing page is designed to welcome customers converted from other channels, offering them targeted discounts to incentivize plan purchases.
When their plans are nearing expiration, another marketing email is sent out to encourage plan renewal. The sample presented here showcases a recent campaign, combined with a new coupon system tailored to individual clients.
During the pandemic, many activities shifted online, and I created Chinese versions to connect with customers in Greater China.
